The O’Rourke Irish Dance Foundation strives to strengthen the community’s interest in and appreciation of Irish culture through the showcasing of Irish Dance in Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York.
The Foundation provides grants to help defray expenses of dance students participating in major Irish Dance competitions. (The Foundation also encourages persons of all ages to engage in Irish Dance and supports dancers by providing scholarships to be used for school registration fees - see the website for additional information on the scholarship program.)
Criteria for grants:
There is an expectation that applicants will assist in the Foundation’s mission to strengthen the community’s interest in and appreciation of Irish culture through involvement in dance performances, parades, events at their schools, places of worship and in the community in general.
The O'Rourke Irish Dance Foundation has amended the 2017-2018 Grant application as follows:
All Irelands 2018-Open to any dancer attempting to obtain a Worlds qualification. Dancers with an existing Worlds qualification are not eligible to apply. Applications due 1/21/18
